My name is Elizabeth Bordeaux. I am 27 years old, and I am married to my best friend, Chip. We have been married for almost 5 years, slam packed with some pretty awesome memories!
Mark aka “Chip” is my best friend. When we first met, I noticed some of his friends called him Mark and some called him “Chip.” When I asked him which he preferred, he told me either. From that point on, Mark was Chip to me. No one can make me laugh as hard as he does. He has the best sense of humor, always ready to laugh and make others laugh. He is loving, kind, thoughtful, and warm. He has a loving, encouraging personality that has been invaluable in our challenges with fertility and throughout our marriage. Chip is a problem solver by nature, always supportive and ready to help. What attracts me most about him is his thoughtfulness toward everyone. Whether it’s holding a door at a restaurant or helping an elderly couple carry groceries to their car, he always goes the extra mile to serve and love people. He works so hard to make our lives comfortable and happy. God has blessed me beyond what I could have ever asked for. He is also the best dad! We recently adopted our son after over a 3 year battle with infertility. Our son “G” is a perfect gift from Jesus and we know the best is yet to come!
More facts. I live in a small town in Upstate South Carolina. I was born and raised literally five minutes from where we live today, and the first time I visited my husband’s small hometown, I confused a cotton field for a field that had been “TP’d”. If you don’t know what “TP’d” means, you’re missing out on an awesome—yet technically illegal—activity many high-schoolers in the south are guilty of participating in.
More facts. I’m the passionate, dreaming type. I have big aspirations and goals for my life. One of my biggest goals is to be the mom that Jesus wants me to be. After wanting kids as long as I can remember and a long battle with infertility, I am beyond ecstatic that Jesus answered our prayers by giving us a son. Now I strive to become the mom He wants me to be. I could keep talking four hours, but then that wouldn’t make for an interesting blog would it? 🙂
